LIVERPOOL FANS EXCITED BY TRANSFER TARGET MBAPPE'S INTRIGUING INSTAGRAM ACTIVITY
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has set some pulses racing on Merseyside with his recent Instagram activity.
Of course, the France World Cup winner hasn't really done anything out of the ordinary, but the transfer window is open, and speculation is rife.
Mbappe isn't an out-and-out Liverpool target this summer but the Frenchman sparked some mild speculation when he was seen in a video with Reds supporter LeBron James last week.
Since then the Paris Saint-Germain star has gone on a following spree on Instagram, in which he has seemingly targeted Liverpool players, former Reds stars and even the club's transfer targets.
Among the current players, Mbappe has recently followed Fabinho and Mohamed Salah. He's also keeping tabs on Philippe Coutinho, Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez.
As for Liverpool targets, Mbappe has started following Nabil Fekir and former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay.
Liverpool fans also noticed that Mbappe later posted the word "soon" alongside the eyes emoji to his Instagram story, and some supporters think the two are connected.
"I can't believe Mbappe just followed the Liverpool squad and just put up SOON on his insta story," tweeted one fan.
Another added: "Mbappe linked to Liverpool - meets LeBron James in America who has shares in LFC. Mbappe follows Gerrard, Salah and Fabinho on Insta and puts "soon" on his story... am I reading too much into this or?"
Mbappe isn't likely to leave PSG this summer after club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi confirmed his intentions to keep hold of the forward.
"Mbappe? I'm 200 per cent sure he will still be at PSG next season," Al-Khelaifi told France Football.
On the rest of the squad though, he added: "The players need to accept their responsibilities.
"Things need to be completely different. They need to do more, work more. They aren't here for a good time. And if they don't agree, the door is open. Bye."
