FANS POKE FUN AT LUKAKU AFTER STRIKER RELEASES OWN FRAGRANCE

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has launched his own cologne brand - two days after stinking out Old Trafford.

Lukaku was criticised for his performance against Chelsea on Sunday, where he was caught offside multiple times and was branded 'unfit' by former United defender Gary Neville.

On Tuesday, Lukaku revealed he has released a new aftershave in partnership with Abercrombie and Fitch - with United fans less than impressed.

Lukaku wrote on Twitter: 'Excited to share that starting today, you can visit an Abercrombie store in London, Manchester, or Brussels to get my limited edition bottle of Fierce cologne before anyone else. Very limited quantities.'

The timing of the announcement, coming two days after his poor performance and amid United struggling to finish in the Premier League top four, drew the ire of some United supporters on Twitter.

One suggested the fragrance would last for only 20 minutes before fading, in reference to Lukaku's sporadic performances during games.

The 25-year-old has scored 15 times this season for United, but his inconsistency has frustrated fans - along with his recent suggestions he would be open to leaving the club. He recently said it would be a 'dream' to play in Serie A.

Neville, speaking as a pundit on Sky Sports last Sunday, said United have a 'big decision' to make whether to keep faith with Lukaku or cash in.

He said: 'Lukaku is the most interesting for me. You watch him for 25 mins today and he looks like a world beater. Then you see him make one big run and he looks absolutely shot.

'He was a brilliant performer today, then you say to yourself he always looks tired after one or two big runs. He's a big decision. I've got very little sympathy for anyone who's unfit as a professional footballer.'
