KLOPP WON'T EXTEND CONTRACT AS HE WANTS TO REST AFTER IT EXPIRES IN 2022 (ESPN)
Jurgen Klopp could resist extending his contract with Liverpool with ESPN reporting the German would like to take a sabbatical at the end of his contract in 2022.
The German cut short a planned break from the game to take over at Anfield in 2015, and has repeatedly stated his desire to take a break from the “very intense” demands of management when his contract expires.
The club's owner, Fenway Sports Group are still hopeful of Klopp staying at the club, but will not pressure him into extending his stay.
As such, he will not be offered a new contract or improved terms unless he requests with the club unwilling to put him in a position where he rejects a new offer.
