POGBA AGREES MOVE TO JUVENTUS BUT SERIE A SIDE HAVE TO SELL PLAYERS (CDS)

Paul Pogba is reportedly open to a Juventus return, but they must sell Joao Cancelo, Douglas Costa, Juan Cuadrado, Mario Mandzukic and Mattia Perin.

The World Cup winning midfielder is unhappy at the way he is treated at Manchester United, both within the club itself and by fans and media.

He frequently visits Turin, most recently in May to attend Andrea Barzagli’s retirement party, which was also part of the Scudetto celebrations.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Pogba has given Juve the all-clear for a return just three years after his €105m transfer, but funds need to be raised.

The key would be selling several players who are not part of the new approach under Maurizio Sarri or whose values are thought to be dropping.

The names on the list include Mandzukic, who only recently signed a new contract, Douglas Costa, Cuadrado and goalkeeper Perin.

Cancelo is the one most likely to bring in the cash, with reports of a €50m bidding war between Manchester City and Manchester United.

All these sales would raise in the region of €110m, which could then be used to purchase Pogba or Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
