INTER 'REJECT MAN UTD PLAYER EXCHANGE REQUEST' IN LUKAKU TRANSFER
Inter Milan have rejected Manchester United's request to include defender Milan Skriniar in a potential deal for Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Italy.
Lukaku has emerged as a leading target for new Inter boss Antonio Conte this summer and the Belgium striker is believed to be open to moving to the San Siro if the Red Devils agree to sell him.
In fact, some reports in Italy have claimed that Lukaku has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A club, which will see him earn over £6m in bonuses.
However, the teams are yet to reach an agreement, with the Premier League club reportedly demanding at least £60 million for the 26-year-old.
In an attempt to conclude a transfer, Corriere dello Sport (via Inside Futbol ) reports that United have raised the possibility of Inter centre-back Skriniar moving to Old Trafford as part of the deal.
Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to strengthen his defensive options this summer and it is claimed that he considers the Slovakian to be an ideal candidate.
But according to the Italian publication, Inter have rejected the proposal as the defender is seen as a crucial part of Conte's plans for next season.
Although the clubs are yet to agree a fee for Lukaku, the striker has fuelled suggestions he could move to Italy by making no secret of his desire to play under Conte.
"I am a big Serie A fan," he said. "Those close to me know that I have always wanted to play in the English league and in the Italian one, I love Italy.
"The transfer of [Cristiano] Ronaldo, the Italian league is now coming back. Now Antonio Conte going to Inter Milan, which is really good because he is, to me, the best manager in the world.
“You know I’m not somebody who likes to talk about my personal relationship with managers, but I’m a Manchester United player."
