MAN UNITED PROBE THE SIGNING OF RAKITIC AGAIN (SPORT)
It would suit Barcelona to make an important sale in June. One of the players whom there is a lot of interest in is Rakitic. He was close to PSG last summer but the player didn’t want to go. Now Man United have made a move to try and see if he’s willing to leave the Camp Nou.
Man United are trying to remodel their squad to win important titles once more after their latest projects failed.
They believe Rakitic could be an important piece of the puzzle. They made contact a few days ago.
It seems Rakitic wants to stay at Barca though. The club have told him they will not improve his deal but he likes it in Catalonia and it’s hard to imagine him going. United would have to make a huge financial effort.
Ernesto Valverde has used him consistently and would like to keep him, but the club are happy to sell.
Inter Milan also want Rakitic but contact has gone cold recently. United’s appearance could revitalise the Italians.
