Man Utd have no choice but to make best of nightmare fixture, admits Solskjaer

Man utd news update live:
Manchester United have no choice but to make the best of a nightmare run of fixtures in October and the start of November, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted.

United are facing six away trips in seven games after they host Arsenal on Monday night, after being drawn away at Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

It means United will have four successive away games — and no shortage of travelling to do — with trips to Alkmaar, Newcastle, Belgrade, Norwich, Chelsea and Bournemouth all in the space of four weeks.

“It slots nicely into a couple of weeks with lots of travelling,” Solskjaer told MUTV .

“That's how it is. We've got to make the best out of it, and I'm sure we will, because that's the type of group this is and that's the type of club we are.”

United are yet to win on their travels since that famous Champions League last 16 comeback at Paris Saint-Germain in March this year, a run of nine away games without victory.

But they'll have to break that unwanted record if they're to progress in the Europa League, with the games at AZ Alkmaar and Partizan Belgrade crucial to their hopes of topping their group.

United's upcoming fixtures:

Mon Sept 30 - Arsenal (H)

Thurs Oct 3 - AZ Alkmaar (A)

Sun Oct 6 - Newcastle (A)

Sun Oct 20 - Liverpool (H)

Thurs Oct 24 - Partizan Belgrade (A)

Sun Oct 27 - Norwich (A)

Tues Oct 29 - Chelsea (A)

Sat Nov 2 - Bournemouth (A)
