Utd stars not happy with Solskjaer's decision to name Tuanzebe captain (Mail)
Man utd news update live:
The Manchester United players were not entirely happy with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to name Axel Tuanzebe captain against Rochdale, according to reports.
The decision was met with raised eyebrows outside the Red Devils' changing room, as the Norwegian had opted against handing the armband to Paul Pogba.
According to the Daily Mail, the decision was not met with 'universal approval'.
It was claimed that Solskjaer named Tuanzebe captain for sentimental reasons as he grew up in Rochdale as a child after moving to the town from DR Congo.
What's more, Tuanzebe has captained the Red Devils at every age group, including now the senior team, and has ambitions to get the gig permanently.
"Leadership is something that I admire in players," said Tuanzebe ahead of the game. "I've said in the past that I want to be United captain one day and I stand by that."
