Daniel James can equal Solskjaer's own Man Utd record ahead of Leicester clash
Man utd news update live:
It has been the dream start to life at Manchester United for summer signing Daniel James.
The 21-year-old arrived at Old Trafford in the summer window, but not even he could have quite imagined the impact he'd have in such a short space of time.
James came off the bench to net a dream debut goal against Chelsea on the opening day of the new Premier League season, but now he stands on the verge of equalling a club scoring currently held by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Following on from his debut goal the Welsh winger scored in two of the next three matches when he netted a sensational strike against Crystal Palace as well as an opener against Southampton last time out.
His brilliant scoring run means he has now scored in both of his home appearances for the club and if he nets another against Leicester this weekend he will match the current record.
If the Wales international finds the back of the net against Leicester this weekend then James would become only the second player to score in their first three Premier League appearances at Old Trafford – the other was his current manager.
Solskjaer netted goals in home matches against Blackburn, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur back in September 1996, but could be set to share his record this weekend. Not that he will mind one bit
