Solskjaer 'wants to sign Mandzukic & Dembele in January'

Man utd news update live:
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified two players he wants the club to sign in the January transfer window - according to reports.

United bought Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James over the summer but the departures of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku left United light on forwards and injuries to Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have been a cause for concern.

As a result, Solskjaer wants to sign an attacker in January - according to the Independent - with Juventus' Mario Mandzukic and Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele said to be on his shortlist.

Mandzukic was linked with a move to Old Trafford over the summer but the switch ultimately failed to materialise. Nevertheless, the report states that Solskjaer remains keen on the 33-year-old.

On the other hand, Barcelona are reportedly willing to part ways with Dembele but United are aware it would take a fee of around £100million to convince them to sell, the Independent state.
