De Gea out, Lingard in - Man Utd training squad revealed before UEL clash

Man utd EFL news update live:
David de Gea did not train with Manchester United's squad before their flight to Belgrade today (Wednesday), while youngsters Ethan Laird, Brandon Williams and James Garner were all involved.


Jesse Lingard trained with United's players as he looks to make a return from injury in the Europa League contest with Partizan Belgrade, while there was no sign of Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic or Paul Pogba, along with injured defenders Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah.



De Gea made a return from a groin injury to play against Liverpool on Sunday but looks set to be rested for the midweek fixture.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take his players to Serbia today and hold a pre-match press conference this (Wednesday) evening. The official travelling squad is yet to be confirmed.



Although Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford have all trained with United and will travel to Belgrade with the squad, all three may be rested with United facing another away trip on Sunday, when they travel to Norwich City.

Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes could continue in Solskjaer's Europa League side.
