The two Man United players who have never missed a penalty
Man utd news update live:
It was another weekend of penalty woe for Manchester United as they defeated Norwich in the Premier League fixture at Carrow Road.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side won away in the league for the first time since February with a 3-1 win, but it might have been more resounding had they not wasted two penalties in the first-half.
Marcus Rashford saw his low effort saved by Tim Krul, before Anthony Martial also saw a first-half spot kick saved by the Dutch shot-stopper.
Following the weekend win Solskjaer again has a tricky decision to make when it comes to deciding on who will take the next penalty, but there might already be two alternatives at the club.
That is because there are actually two players at United who have never missed a penalty in their senior career.
Andreas Pereira has netted four in regular time and another two in penalty shootout wins, taking his tally to six out of six, according to stats from transfermarkt.
The four goals in normal time all came in his youth career, however Pereira was the only United player to find the net when they crashed out of the League Cup against Middlesbrough four years ago. His other shootout goal came as United knocked Rochdale out of the Carabao Cup this season.
The only other player at the club with a flawless record is Daniel James. The summer signing netted his first penalty while playing in the Premier League 2 for Swansea, while his other two successful spot kicks both won shootouts for United. James scored the decisive spot kick in both the pre-season win over AC Milan and the aforementioned victory over Rochdale.
