Man Utd 'to make Bruno Fernandes transfer bid in coming hours'

Man utd news update live:
Manchester United are set to make a transfer bid for summer target Bruno Fernandes in the 'coming hours', according to reports from Portugal.

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder has been linked with a move to United all summer but the Red Devils are yet to make an official bid for him.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has prioritised signing a centre-back, and lodged a £70million bid to sign Harry Maguire, which was promptly rejected by Leicester City.

The two clubs are at loggerheads over the transfer fee, which has resulted in United's move for Fernandes taking a back seat. But that could all be about to change.

According to both Portuguese publications A Bola  and Correio da Manha, via SportWitness, a bid from the Reds Devils for Fernandes could occur in the 'coming hours'.

Reports add that Fernandes' agent Miguel Pinho is finally in England and is 'agreeing the edges' of the switch - presumably looking to get the best deal for his client.

Tottenham are said to be keen on the midfielder too and will also allegedly speak to Pinho about signing the 24-year-old.
