Maguire 'wants Leicester to push through Man Utd move' after he misses training

Man utd news update live:
Leicester defender Harry Maguire is growing increasingly frustrated by the club's resistance in sanctioning a move to Manchester United.

The central defender is a major target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but the clubs are yet to agree on a fee.

According to the Sun, Maguire is now at the stage where he is willing to 'push through' the transfer.

The 26-year-old has acted as the consummate professional despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.

He is said to have had a gentleman's agreement in place with vice-chairman Khun ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha that would allow him to leave.

But Maguire is now becoming impatient with the lack of progress. He missed training on Monday after calling in sick.

And though some connected his absence with a possible breakthrough in negotiations with United, manager Brendan Rodgers had spoken about Maguire feeling ill after a friendly with Stoke on Sunday.

And team-mate James Maddison even tweeted that the England international was suffering from a stomach bug.

Maguire signed for Leicester from Hull for £17m back in 2017 and has since become one of the most commanding centre-backs in the Premier League.

The Foxes maintain that they will allow him to leave when their valuation has been met and that as yet, United have not tabled a sufficient offer.
