Why Ramsey wanted to leave Arsenal for Juventus revealed by Wales legend.

Aaron Ramsey is not the first Wales legend to take the plunge and make the bold move from England to Juventus .

Ian Rush made the move to Turin when he left Liverpool in 1986, spending two seasons with the Italian giants before returning to Anfield.

The news was finally confirmed this week that Ramsey had penned a pre-contract agreement with the Bianconeri to join at the end of the season.

Rush has revealed the reason he reckons Ramsey is the right man for Juve - and stated their track record of winning trophies was the key factor in his final decision to ditch the Gunners.

"He's a fantastic player, a very reserved person, a man of the family," Rush told Corriere di Torino .

"Juventus care a lot about how their players act off the pitch and he's a genuine person, the right man for the Bianconeri.

"Why Juve? I spoke to him a couple weeks ago, he's always been convinced of this choice because he wants to win trophies and Juve has always been the first choice for this.

"He believes that they have more chances to win than other teams."
