'Utd owe Fernandes a lot already' - Jota praises 'ambitious' Portugal team-mate
Bruno Fernandes is Manchester United's "most ambitious" player, according to Diogo Jota, who says the club already "owe a lot" to their €55 million (£48m/$60m) January signing.
United were unbeaten in 11 matches prior to the coronavirus-enforced break in the 2019-20 season, with Fernandes seen as the driving force behind that impressive run and potentially the man to help revive past glories at Old Trafford.
Jota has witnessed the playmaker's talents up close on the international stage with Portugal, and says it is clear how much of a difference he has made to Solskjaer's squad since arriving in Manchester.
“I don’t know if he is the best [player at United] but he’s the most ambitious. And that makes a difference," the Wolves striker told Record.
“You can clearly see the difference between United with and without Bruno Fernandes. He takes on the responsibility and aspires for more than what they are doing.
"I think they owe him a lot already. And that is not only related to his quality, but also to his ambition and personality.”
