McTominay: I'm taking lessons from Ronaldo on how to keep fit during lockdown
The central midfielder has been staying in shape amid the coronavirus crisis and revealed he has been looking to one of the very best for tips.
Manchester United's Scott McTominay has been taking lessons from Cristiano Ronaldo on how to keep himself fit and focused during lockdown.
The Scottish midfielder reckons the former United No. 7 is the master when it comes to steering well clear of his comfort zone.
Talking on the official Manchester United podcast, McTominay said: “You look at Ronaldo and guys like this - and their mentality is at the top of the top.
“You don’t get any better than that. For me, looking up to somebody like that, the physique he's got, the way that he applies himself.
“I have just seen a picture of him, two days ago, reading and revising different things that he’s trying to learn in his life off the pitch.
“People are just far too comfortable too quickly in their life.”
McTominay, 23, has shown incredible application to make himself an important member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad.
The Lancaster-born midfield has made 30 appearances for club and country this season, and he has become a firm fans' favourite at Old Trafford.
