Utd transfer roundup: Final Sancho offer, Henderson targeted, 3 new younglings

Manchester United’s resurgence in 2020 has been largely down to astute recruitment from the club.

Dean Henderson to Chelsea

However, defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final showed that the Red Devils have some way to go in order to be regarded as title contenders.

A lack of depth in key areas of the pitch will be a concern for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who has shown early signs of building a trophy-winning side.

Therefore, they could enter into the transfer market this summer as a means of adding depth and solving some issues that have prevented a consistent 2019/20 campaign.

Here are the latest United transfer rumours on Tuesday July 21.

Chelsea prepared to ‘double wages’ of United goalkeeper

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to double the wages of Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson who is currently on loan at Sheffield United.

According to Manchester Evening News, the 23-year-old’s representatives have been in contact with Chelsea about the possibility of a move and he is believed to be unwilling to play second fiddle to David De Gea next season.

Solskjaer has reiterated throughout this season that De Gea remains world class and part of his plans despite several high profile errors - two of which came against Chelsea in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat.

While United will be keen to prevent Henderson moving to a direct rival, the likelihood of him staying at Old Trafford as second choice remains minimal.

United to make final offer for Sancho

Jadon Sancho Transfers to United, has United signed Sancho, transfers about sancho

United are reportedly set to make one final offer for Jadon Sancho in the coming weeks as they look to land their number one transfer target.

According to the Daily Star, the club will offer £80million for the England international despite Borussia Dortmund holding out for a fee in the region of £100million.

United’s desire to sign a right winger in the upcoming transfer window has seen Sancho linked with a move on a number of occasions but financial uncertainty means the club isn’t willing to pay more than £80million this summer.

Therefore, a final offer is likely to be tabled and instead leave Dortmund with the ultimate decision on how much they are willing to lower their asking price.

United set to unveil three academy signings
The club will soon announce three new academy signings, according to Manchester Evening News.

United are believed to be waiting for international clearance before they can officially announce the signings of Alvaro Fernandez, Marc Jurado and Isak Hansen-Aaroen who will bolster their academy ranks.

The latter became Tromso’s youngest-ever player at the age of 15 earlier this month and will be joining Fernandez (17) and Jurado (16) at the club’s academy set-up in Carrington.

MEN’s report also states that Jurado rejected a three-year deal from Barcelona and instead decided on a move to United.
