Dortmund 'set Utd August 10 deadline to complete signing of £90m-rated Sancho'

Borussia Dortmund have set Manchester United an August 10 deadline to complete the signing of Jadon Sancho.

But Dortmund are refusing to sell Sancho on the cheap and want £90million for him – despite the hit the transfer market has taken following the coronavirus pandemic.

England star Sancho is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's top transfer target this summer, with the 20-year-old forward keen to join his United revolution.

Sancho wants to leave Dortmund and is excited at the prospect of teaming up with fellow attackers Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.

Agreeing personal terms with Sancho will not be a problem for United, with the only issue left to resolve the fee they must pay for one of Europe's most exciting young players.

United have just over a month to meet Dortmund's asking price for Sancho and conclude a deal, with the Bundesliga club unwilling to become involved in a long-running saga.

Although the transfer window is set to be extended post Covid-19, Dortmund are heading to Switzerland for a training camp on August 10 and want any deal for Sancho done by then.

Dortmund do not want the issue of Sancho's future to undermine their preparations for next season and have made it clear to United there is a deadline they must meet if they want him.

Sancho, Dortmund's top scorer this season with 20 goals, as well as 20 assists, from 44 games, joined them from Manchester City for £8m three years ago and has been a revelation.

Although Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke recently said the club will not accept a “corona disccount” on their original £110m valuation of Sancho, that stance has softened.

United are determined not to pay way over the odds for Sancho, Dortmund are not under any financial pressure to sell him and will stand firm on their £90m asking price.
