Pochettino hopeful of landing Man Utd job next season (Mirror)
Mauricio Pochettino is still hopeful of getting the Manchester United manager job next season, according to The Mirror.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under increasing pressure in the role, with United having their worst start to a season in over 30 years.
It is believed he could be given the sack if United fall outside of the top six this season, allowing Pochettino to pounce.
The Spaniard is reportedly willing to be patient when it comes to finding a new job, hinting that he would prefer to come back to the Premier League if possible.
He has been out of action since being sacked by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy towards the end of last year.
Jose Mourinho took over as manager, and results have been up and down, often hampered by the long term injury to Harry Kane.
Pochettino has been considered for the job before, and could be an ideal candidate if Solskjaer is shown the door this year.
Manchester United are competing in the Europa League, but could miss out on a European spot altogether if results in the league don't improve.
It is thought that some of their major sponsors, including adidas and Chevrolet, have Champions League clauses built into their big money contracts.
