Bruno Fernandes & Ighalo included in Man Utd's squad for UEL knockout stages
Manchester United have added their three January signings to their Europa League squad for the knockout stages of the competition - including Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes signed from Sporting in January, and is eligible to represent United despite having played in all of his former club's group stage matches in the Europa League. UEFA dropped the rule preventing players from only representing one club per season in European competition in 2018.
United had to submit their desired squad changes by 24:00 CET on Monday 3 February, where they could add up to three new players. The resulting squad has seen Fernandes joined by loan signing Odion Ighalo and youth addition Nathan Bishop, who joined from Southend.
Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young are omitted from the squad after joining Estudiantes and Inter Milan respectively in January.
United play their first leg of their last-32 tie at Club Brugge on February 20.
Clubs can name up to 25 player on their A list, with eight places reserved for 'locally trained players' - those who were on the books of their current club, or another club within the same association, for three years between the ages of 15 and 21.
The B list contains an unlimited number of players and is made up of homegrown youngsters who can be called upon at anytime during the competition.
United's A-List contains the majority of the first team, as well as the likes of youngster Matej Kovar and Axel Tuanzebe.
Many of United's young players, including Mason Greenwood, are included on the B List, which contains players born on, or after, 1 January 1998 and has been for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday. There can be an unlimited number of B-List players, but they must be registered by no later than 24:00CET the day before a match.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah is a notable omission from the squad, according to UEFA's website, but he qualifies as a B-List player so could still feature in the knockout stages.
