MAN UTD 'WANT VARANE & KROOS FROM MADRID IN POGBA DEAL'
Manchester United are said to have already 'named their price' for wantaway midfielder Paul Pogba.
But it may not just be a straight £160 million fee that lures him to the Bernabeu.
With Zinedine Zidane ready to splash the cash on up to six new Real Madrid stars - with Pogba the centrepiece - he knows he's going to have to let people go.
High on that list appears his old sparring partner Gareth Bale - but United are not said to be keen on the injury-prone Welshman.
Marko Kovavic is another one Zidane wants out the door, but once again Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not intereted.
But there are two current Real Madrid star they are said to be interested in.
And one is player the Bernabeu side do not want to let go - however they're unlikely to pay the straight £160 million fee and so need to find a few makeweights.
Spanish sources say both Bale and Toni Kroos has been offered.
According to TeamTalk Kroos is a player that interests the Old Trafford hierachy.
But it's actually Raphael Varane United want to underpin any Pogba deal.
The highly-rated French defender is just coming into his prime - and Solskjaer sees him as a lynchpin of a new-look defence.
Madrid won't want to let him leave - but they've always set their stall with creative players like Pogba over reliable defenders.
Pogba, who earns £290,00-a-week at Old Trafford, has appeared to have been wooed by Real having previously admitted it would be a "dream" to move to the Spanish capital.
Last summer Pogba was linked with a move to Barcelona after his heroics in Russia.
On that occasion, Ed Woodward refused to consider selling, after the superstar's agent Mino Raiola reportedly attempted to engineer a transfer.
Pogba was United's record signing when he joined from Juventus in a mega £89million deal three years ago.
But according to the Daily Mail, United are for offers in excess of £160m - which would mean doubling their profits.
The former academy graduate still has two-years left on his Red Devils contract and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear he does not want his prized possession to leave.
But if they can get Varne and Kroos it may soften their resolve.
