MAN UTD 'OPEN TALKS' OVER STUNNING £105M TRANSFER TO HEADLINE SUMMER REBUILD
Manchester United are reportedly ready to meet Joao Felix's huge £105m release clause in a bid to land the teenage wonderkid.
The Benfica starlet is wanted by almost all of Europe's top clubs but has a huge fee set into his contract which Record say United are willing to pay to gain the upper hand in the race for his signature.
Real Madrid are amongst those said to be keen on signing Felix, who has burst onto the scene with 20 goals and 11 assists this season.
He bagged a stunning hat-trick for the Portuguese side in the Europa League semi-finals and helped them lift the league title at the weekend.
The Red Devils are understood to have already opened talks with Benfica, and they had representatives in attendance at Benfica's final game to take the chance to watch Felix in action one last time before the summer transfer window.
Atletico Madrid were also in attendance having stepped up their interest in Felix as a direct replacement for outgoing superstar Antoine Griezmann.
Liverpool , Manchester City and Barcelona are amongst those also linked, with Juventus already having a bid of around £75m rejected.
Benfica have reportedly offered him a huge new contract to try and keep him, but they will have no choice but to let him go if his massive release clause is met.
Felix's agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to be keen to force through a move to one of Europe's top clubs, and despite missing out on Champions League football Manchester United could tempt him to follow in the footsteps of Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo by making the move to Old Trafford as a youngster.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to refresh his side with young players and Felix certainly appears to fit the bill.
