Pogba, Lindelof & Shaw... Latest Man Utd injury news & expected return dates
Man utd news update live:
As Man Utd's injury woes continue this season, here is the latest on the nine players that are currently sidelined.
Paul Pogba
Pogba has featured in just two of United's last 12 games due to an ankle injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw with Southampton at the end of August.
Expected return date: Early December
Victor Lindelof
Lindelof played in United's loss at Bournemouth despite having sustained a back problem against Chelsea three days prior.
Solskjaer confirmed he would miss the Europa League game against Partizan but could return against Brighton at the weekend.
Expected return date: November 10
Axel Tuanzebe
Tuanzebe last played for United in the defeat by Newcastle at St James' Park at the beginning of October.
He was due to start against Liverpool but withdrew from the team prior to kick-off and is not expected to return until after the upcoming international break.
Expected return date: November 24 at the earliest
Luke Shaw
A hamstring injury has sidelined Shaw since the end of August and he will not return until after the international break, extending his lay-off to at least three months.
Expected return date: November 24 at the earliest
Nemanja Matic
The Serb joined Shaw for some rehab work in Dubai last month but he was back at Carrington this week.
He's open to leaving United in January so it's not clear how much game time he will get even when he returns - and that won't be until after the international break.
Expected return date: November 24 at the earliest
Diogo Dalot
The nature of Dalot's problem has not yet been disclosed, though earlier in the season he struggled with a hip injury and flew to China for treatment.
He's been absent since the loss at Newcastle.
Expected return date: Unknown
Eric Bailly
Bailly is on the comeback trail after sustaining a serious knee injury in pre-season and could soon make his return for the Under-23s - although a first-team appearance isn't likely until December.
Expected return date: December
Timothy Fosu-Mensah
Whether Fosu-Mensah will be in Solskjaer's plans when he returns to full fitness remains to be seen.
The Dutchman disappointed during his loan spell at Fulham last term before a serious knee injury sustained in March saw him return to Manchester.
Like Bailly, he is likely to return at U23 level before he is considered for a senior appearance.
Possible return date: December
