Betting odds: Man Utd are favourites to sign Haaland and Maddison in January
Man utd transfer news Betting tips:
Manchester United are the bookmakers' favourites to sign Erling Haaland and James Maddison during the January transfer window.
Sky Bet is offering odds of 2/1 on Haaland to join United during the winter window, with Maddison a 9/2 shot to make the move to Old Trafford.
Barcelona are the distant second favourites to sign Haaland at 8/1 with Liverpool the second favourites to sign Maddison at 10/1.
Sky Bet is also offering odds on United to sign several other players and those odds can be seen at the bottom of this page.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in a press conference on Wednesday that United could sign two players in January but also admitted they may not sign any.
The MEN revealed United had originally earmarked a midfield addition in the winter transfer window Solskjaer is now targeting an attacking recruit.
The MEN reported on Wednesday Nemanja Matic is open to leaving United, who would be prepared to sell the Serbian in order to obtain a fee before his contract expires in the summer.
The possible sale of Matic would also give United the leverage to replenish the squad with a midfield signing.
United missed out on two priority targets in the summer and have maintained their stance they will sign the right player or players if they are available. Solskjaer feels January is not the ideal time to do business, though.
"The priority now is to get players fit and get through to the next round," Solskjaer said. "Transfers, we always look at the long-term [to] look at players.
"It might be none, might be one, might be two in January, but it's always the summer window that's the big one and you can't do too many good deals in January."
