MAN UTD FANS MOCKED BY MOURINHO CHANT DURING FA CUP LOSS AGAINST WOLVES

Manchester United made the trip to Molineux to face Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday night.

United have enjoyed an incredible revival in recent months and are just two games away from Wembley under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

They are also in the mix for the top four and will face Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Plenty for United fans to be cheering about at this stage of the season and they flocked in their numbers to Molineux for the last eight tie.

But as they battered the wind and rain in the West Midlands, they were mocked by their Wolves counterparts - and it involved their former boss Jose Mourinho.

Throughout the first half, Wolves fans were heard singing: "Mourinho's right, your fans are s****".

The reference dates back to when Mourinho publicly criticised United's supporters for not getting behind his players.

Early last season, Mourinho suggested United fans were too quiet during matches.

"I saw the ball in the net and all the guys jumping around. It was the first time I saw the crowd. They were very quiet," he said after a win over Leicester .

"It was easy to know that was a goal because it was the first time I really understood the stadium was full."

Mourinho also suggested the Old Trafford faithful weren't showing enough support for Romelu Lukaku.

“I would like the supporters to explain to me why they don’t support him so much because he gives everything and I think it is not fair when scoring the goal or not scoring the goal [he] makes the whole difference," he said.
