MAN UTD WILL DEMAND BALE & KROOS IF REAL MADRID URGE TO SIGN POGBA (AS)

Manchester United are only willing to sell Paul Pogba to Real Madrid if they receive Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos as part of any deal, reports in Spain claim.

Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane expressed his admiration for Pogba following the player's comments about the Spanish giants during the international break.

While on France duty last week, Manchester United midfielder Pogba told a press conference Real were a "dream" club and made specific reference to his compatriot Zidane, as well as saying he was currently happy at Old Trafford.

That has led to suggestions Real could well step up their pursuit of the World Cup winner this summer - but United are in no mood to sell.

According to AS , Pogba, who remains United's record signing after his £89million arrival in 2016, will only be sold if his current club receive two Madrid players in return.

Bale has long been on the Red Devils’ radar, and he faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu following the return of Zidane as manager

Kroos, meanwhile, would be a like-for-like replacement for Pogba, given he would likely lose his Real spot should the Frenchman arrive in Spain.

Zidane has made no secret of his admiration for Pogba and recently spoke publicly about the midfielder.

When asked about that ahead of Sunday's 3-2 La Liga win over Huesca, Zidane was quoted by AS as saying: "I like Pogba a lot, it's nothing new.

"I know him personally. He's a different kind of player, he brings so much and they are few players who bring as much as he does.

"He's a midfielder who knows how to defend and how to attack. He knows how to do everything on the pitch.

"He's not part of my squad, he plays at United and what's he's said about Real Madrid and his desire to come here if one day he gets the chance when he wants to leave United... If when he finishes his experience at United he wants to come here why shouldn't he come to Real Madrid?"
