Sancho 'unofficially confirms' he will make Man Utd transfer (Independent)
Borussia Dortmund superstar Jadon Sancho has 'unofficially confirmed' he will make the switch to Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
The Red Devils are increasingly confident of sealing a deal for England flier Sancho who is set to cost upwards of £100million.
United face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool but the duo have cooled their interest to leave the Old Trafford giants with a clear run at the 20-year-old.
And, according to the Irish Independent, Sancho has said he will complete a return to Manchester having come through the ranks at City before moving to the Bundesliga.
While City have first option on Sancho, he has no intention of going back to the Etihad with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane as wide options - though Sane looks set to move to Bayern Munich.
But the Blues will receive a 15 per cent sell-on fee of any move Sancho makes.
Sancho would likely inherit the coveted No.7 jersey at the Theatre of Dreams, and there is a belief within the club that he will make the switch regardless of whether they return to the Champions League ahead of next season.
In 90 senior fixtures so far, Sancho has plundered 31 goals and provided another 42 assists for teammates.
Comparatively, Lionel Messi had scored 26 goals and made eight assists when he turned 20, while Cristiano Ronaldo had 16 goals and 16 assists.
He became the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach 25 goals, becoming the first teenager to do so with a strike against Union Berlin in his 64th game.
Sancho was the first player born after the turn of the millennium to feature for England when he debuted in November last year.
He is big pals with United star Marcus Rashford who has reportedly been in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's ear about taking Sancho to Old Trafford.
