Dybala told to snub Man Utd transfer and join Liverpool or Man City
Man utd transfer news live:
Paulo Dybala has been told to resist joining Manchester United and instead hold old for a switch to Liverpool or Manchester City if he is keen on moving to the Premier League.
The Argentinean, 25, has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford from Juventus in a potential swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku, who is looking for a way out of the Red Devils.
Dybala is said to be weighing up the prospect of joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men, but is reportedly less than convinced that he would be making the right move for his career.
And Andrea Dossena, the former Liverpool defender who played alongside Dybala at Palermo, says United wouldn't be the right move for him.
"It’s all in his head," the Italian told Tuttomercato Web , via the Liverpool Echo .
"Obviously if he had to choose to leave Juve to go to United, I’m sure he would make himself available to the new club and could benefit from the atmosphere in the Premier League.
"It is certainly not a simple choice anyway, going away from Juventus is tough."
Former left-back Dossena wasn't deemed a success at Liverpool after joining from Udinese for £7million in the summer of 2008, but Reds fans remember him for scoring the fourth goal in a 4-1 win over United at Old Trafford in March 2009.
And it seems as though he still holds the Reds in high regard.
"We are talking about another world football superpower, but United are not ready to win big in Europe so he may as well stay at Juve, hence his vacillations," said the 37-year-old, who left Liverpool for Napoli in 2010, and later made a loan move to Palermo, where he played with Dybala.
"If the team in question had been Liverpool or Manchester City , in my opinion he would have had no doubts.
"United are more of a construction site at the moment, and for this reason I understand indecision - I too would be 50/50."
