Ronaldo slammed by Ibrahimovic for bull***t move and Messi claim

Ibrahimovic has hit out at Cristiano Ronaldo for suggesting Lionel Messi should move to Italy for a new challenge.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus from Real Madrid in a £100million deal in the summer.

The Portuguese star, 33, has flourished in Italy and is the top scorer in Serie A with 14 goals this season.

Shortly after making the switch, Ronaldo laid down a challenge to Messi, 31, claiming the Barcelona star should try his hand in Italy to prove he is one of the greatest players of all time.

"I'd like him to come to Italy one day. I hope he accepts the challenge like me, but if he's happy there then I respect that,” he said at the beginning of December.

"I've played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal and for my national team, while he's still in Spain.

“Maybe he needs me more. For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy.

“He's a fantastic player and a good guy, but I don't miss anything here. This is my new life and I'm happy."

However, Ibrahimovic, who has won league titles in Holland, Italy, Spain and France, and won a domestic Cup and the Europa League in England with Manchester United, says Messi has nothing to prove.

And he went so far as to say the Juventus star took the easy option by joining a team who have won the Italian title in all of the last seven seasons.

"Cristiano is talking about new challenges, he calls it a challenge to move to a club where it is already normal to win the Serie A,” the 37-year-old said.

“Why did he not choose a club from a second division a few years ago?"

"Try to become a champion with such a second-division champion and lead them to the highest level, which is a challenge.

“It is bulls***, moving to Juventus is not a challenge at all."

Juve are on course to make it eight Scudettos in succession as they have a nine-point cushion at the top of the table after 19 games.

Since moving to LA Galaxy in the MLS, Ibrahimovic has plundered 22 goals in 27 appearances.
