Bayern Munich's Franck Ribéry, Real Madrid's Gareth Bale, Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-Min, Manchester United's Paul Pogba & Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk are the five nominees for our All Football Player of the Week, all of the stars included in our All Football Team of the Week.
Franck Ribéry (Bayern Munich)
3 goals in 2 games, the 35-year-old led Bayern to keep the pressure on Bundesliga leaders Dortmund.
On Wednesday, a late goal from Ribery fired Bayern to a nervy 1-0 win over RB Leipzig.
On Saturday, the Frenchman scored a historic double in Bayern's 3-0 win over Frankfurt. His two goals ensured that, at 35 years and 259 days, he became the oldest player in Bayern history to achieve a double in a game for the club.
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)
The Welsh wizard answered his and Madrid's doubters with a towering performance in the Club World Cup.
Bale hit an 11-minute hat trick on Wednesday as Real Madrid strolled into the Club World Cup final by beating Kashima Antlers 3-1 in Abu Dhabi.
On Saturday, He also helped seal Club World Cup history as Real Madrid beat Al Ain 4-1 to become the first team to win the tournament three years in a row.
Of course, Bale named the Golden Ball of the Club World Cup. He is becoming the flagbearer of Madrid after Ronaldo left.
Son Heung-Min (Tottenham Hotspur)
"The 2nd most dangerous Korean on the planet?" The fantastic Asian boy scored three goals and contributed one assist in two games last week.
On Wednesday, Son scored a cracking opening goal & helped Tottenham take revenge on their North London rivals Arsenal to reach EFL Cup semi-final.
But Son's wonderful performance was not over yet, his highlights tape on Sunday would make almost anyone smile. The South Korea international netted a double for Spurs and laid on another for Harry Kane as the visitors ran out 6-2 victors at Goodison Park.
That meaning he has contributed to 51 goals in the English top flight since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015. In 112 appearances, Son has scored 35 times and laid on 16 for his Tottenham teammates, to underline his status as a front-line star of Pochettino's side.
Paul Pogba (Manchester United)
Pogba was in the headlines earlier last week after Mourinho's sacking. But this man also made headlines over the weekend with his performance on the pitch.
The World Cup winner was restored to the starting XI for Saturday's trip to Cardiff by new interim boss Solskjaer. Within five minutes he had won the free kick from which Rashford scored. Also involved in the second with a good spot to find Herrera in space and in the intricate one-touch passing that set up Martial's fine finish.
Pogba was at the centre of everything for his side, bagging two assists in the process. He also blew people away with his selflessness after Lingard won penalty in the 2nd half and was then allowed to take it.
From 3-1 lose to 5-1 win, from "Pogbenched" to "Pogback", the French star proved that he is still a world-class player.
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool)
The Dutch master scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool during their 2-0 win over Wolves on Friday.
Capped off a totally dominant defensive display with his second goal for the Reds -- a well-taken finish from Salah's cross. Defensively, the centre-back followed Traore for most of the game, ensuring the tricky front man's impact was minimal.
Also, The Netherlands international has been rock solid at the heart of a defence which has conceded just seven League goals in 18 games this season.
