POGBA CONTINUES GOOD FORM, SIR FERGUSON SMILES AND THINGS YOU MISSED
Pogba continues good form, Sir Ferguson smiles and things you missed
Paul Pogba provided proof - if it was needed - that his confidence was fully restored by displaying his goal celebration in the pre-game warm-up.
Sir Alex Ferguson was back at Old Trafford again, while Marcus Rashford demonstrated his growing influence on the side with yet another assist.
Here, Sportsmail brings you five things that may have passed you by as Manchester United ran riot at Old Trafford.
PAUL POGBA CONTINUES REVIVAL AT OLD TRAFFORD
Having managed just three goals in 14 league games under Jose Mourinho this season, Paul Pogba has now managed four in only three matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
His first-half double against the Cherries means he has seven league goals this season - his best return since moving to Old Trafford in 2016.
He is also the first player to score consecutive doubles for the club since Wayne Rooney in December 2012.
MARCUS MAKES LIGHT WORK OF BOURNEMOUTH
Within the opening minutes of the clash, Marcus Rashford had dazzled and danced his way past Nathan Ake and Diego Rico to lay the opening goal on a plate for Paul Pogba.
In doing so, Rashford continued a productive season that has seen him register as many assists by December as the past three season combined.
The Wythenshaw-born striker now has six assists this season, having managed two in 2015-16, one in 2016-17: and three last season.
OLD FRIENDS BECOME FOES
Jermain Defoe and Michael Carrick renewed acquaintances before their respective clubs faced off on Sunday afternoon.
The pair spent four-and-a-half years in West Ham's first team together, before teaming up again at Tottenham between 2004 and 2006.
Carrick moved to Manchester United that year, and would spend 12 years there as a player before retiring at the end of last season. he is now a first-team coach at Old Trafford.
Defoe, 15 months the junior at 36, is still playing although he has been restricted to just four Premier League appearances for Bournemouth so far this season.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT FOR POGBA
Most players spend the warm-up preparing for the match ahead, perhaps doing some shooting drills and defensive organisation.
As should be expected, Paul Pogba took a slightly different approach ahead of the clash at Old Trafford.
The in-form Frenchman found time to demonstrate his planned goal celebration - three jumps forwards and a wiggle of the hips with his arms crossed - to his teammates.
His preparation was worthwhile, as he tapped in the opener after just four minutes, before doubling the lead on 33 minutes.
ALL SMILES FOR SIR ALEX
Since recovering from a brain haemorrhage in May, Sir Alex Ferguson has occasionally been spotted watching his former club.
His smile seemed the broadest yet as he watched his former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lead the club to a third straight victory in swashbuckling style.
The Scot will surely be delighted at the return to the brand of entertaining, attacking football he personified during his 27-year tenure.
