Ibrahimovic Indicates He Would Reject Chance To Return To Man Utd
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has indicated that he would not be interested in a return to Manchester United on loan in January.
The 37-year-old Swede spent close to two seasons in Manchester working under Jose Mourinho, before a serious knee injury sustained in the Europa League all but ended his time at the club.
Now excelling across the Atlantic for LA Galaxy, recent rumours suggested he could return to the club on loan in January, during the MLS off-season.
But with his body in need of a rest after a long and successful career, his appetite to return to the Premier League is not too strong.
'I think I'm in a situation where I need to have a good balance between work and rest,' Ibrahimovic told Sky Sports.
'Because I came back from injury and because of my age and the load I'm putting in during training.
'It's not what I have been thinking about because we still have two games, hopefully we make the play-offs.
'Any more on that I don't know what to say because I haven't focused on that, I haven't put any thought on it.'
Having agreed to swap Paris Saint-Germain to join the club on a free transfer, the outspoken Scandinavian striker quickly became a hit with United's supporters.
Donning the No 9 shirt, Ibrahimovic scored 22 goals and provided eight assists during his spell with United.
He played a key role as Mourinho's men went on to claim the UEFA Europa League and EFL Cup. Though ibrahimovich had more injuries which interfered with his stay in united. Hereby,costing more expenses on the team than making more difference in performed.ance.
